This Document holder S, is made in A&S's classic Natural box leather. It is made to fit an A5-size, or to hold A4-size documents or other sized documents folded in two. The file is ideal for a compact storage without looking bulky. There is a storage divider on the left side on the inside, and a semi-circular pocket on the right side for easy access. The beautiful cowhide leather shows the characteristics of the raw hides and the more you use the file the more the leather shows the rich changes in texture and expression. The folder is made with a single piece of leather. The back side is ironed to reduce shedding and is finished to a clean surface. On the front side the file is engraved with the ARTS&SCIENCE logo.

The leather is tanned using the Vachetta method* by a long-established Italian tannery. It has a natural finish with just the right amount of oil.The more the leather is used, the richer expression the texture develops, in which the individuality of the raw hides can be seen.
*Vachetta method is a traditional Italian tanning way having been used for more than 1,000 years. The process is slowly tanned with vegetable tannin and then carefully greased with beef leg oil.

*Oil and paint colors used to dye the leather may transfer to the paper. If the document holder is to be stored for an extended period of time, we recommend to first insert your documents in a plastic file and then store the plastic file in the document holder.
*Because of the finish that takes advantage of the texture of the leather itself, the individuality of the animal itself (wrinkles, moles, bloodstains, scars, etc.) may be seen through the leather thinly. This is not a defect but a characteristic of natural leather. Please understand it as a characteristic of leather and individual differences.
