This sleeveless gathered blouse is based on a design from the A&S archives. When worn, the shoulders fall naturally, giving the impression of French sleeves. For added comfort, the front has been updated with a button-down design. The amount of gathering has been adjusted to create a moderate, well-balanced volume. The fabric features the DIAMOND FLOWER KOMON pattern—an original design inspired by a reference found in a collection of vintage chiyogami (decorative Japanese paper), reinterpreted into a small floral komon motif arranged in diamond-like shapes. It is hand-printed using reactive dyes on a light, textured fabric with a soft, airy feel. Available in three colors: Fuchsia pink, Blue, and Light gray. Also available in a shorter length as the Button front no sleeve gather dress.

The DIAMOND FLOWER KOMON pattern was created by reinterpreting a reference found in a collection of vintage chiyogami (decorative Japanese paper), transforming it into a small floral komon motif arranged in diamond-like shapes. It is lightly hand-printed using reactive dyes on A&S’s signature base fabric, Special cotton 120 lawn. At first glance, the pattern appears to be printed with a single screen, but it is actually made using two offset screens. By separating the design into two tones of the same color, it expresses a softly blurred effect.
