Exclusively created for ARTS&SCIENCE by 1+0 (Ichi Tas Zero), this curry plate is designed and produced by ceramicist Kan Ito and handcrafted by skilled potters. The S size is moderately compact, making it ideal for women and children. Its yellowish tone blends Japanese and Western elements, while the inward-curving rim makes it easy to scoop up every single grain of rice. Thanks to the plate’s wide interior surface, it offers versatility beyond just curry. The underside features the “1+0” engraving alongside the “A&S” mark.
【1+0 (Ichi Tas Zero) 】1+0 (Ichi Tas Zero) is a product line launched in 2012 by ceramic artist Kan Ito, who serves as its designer. The line is inspired by the sturdy, unpretentious pottery made by anonymous potters in the Edo period, who lived simple lives balancing farming and ceramics. Today, 1+0 creates thoughtfully crafted items that support a healthy and fulfilling lifestyle.
