This New Gather Blouse that is a style that is modified from our original Gather blouse style into a shorter length. The Gather blouse is a classic style that has been sold since the beginning of the A&S collection. Inspired by the undergarments of the Victorian era in the 19th century, this blouse was rearranged to a modern style. The sleeves are now designed without a gusset under the sleeves, and the sleeve width is made wider to create a moderately bulky silhouette. The cuffs have two buttons and are arranged in a longer length than the original Gather blouse. The fabric is very light and made with a beautiful stripe pattern that results in a translucent feeling, like a cool, breezy, feathery garment. Available in two colors, Blue and Muddy brown.

MATERIAL
34% silk, 66% cotton

A delicate stripe patterned fabric with a translucent feel, almost like a robe of feathers, woven with fine count organdie silk (raw yarn with sericin) on the warp thread and fine count cotton twin yarn on the weft thread. The characteristics of these yarns makes the fabric very light and breezy, and we have woven a beautiful transparent stripe pattern. The finishing touch is a simple wash and sun-dried with wind to give the fabric a natural look.
Caution
*Due to the nature of the material (twill weave), it can easily get caught on fingernails, nicks, accessories, and other objects around you. Please handle with care as it is a delicate material and may tear under load.
*Water, rain, sweat, or other moisture may cause staining. The fabric may become fluffier or whitish when worn or cleaned. *When washing, please be sure to hand-wash with a dedicated detergent. When ironing, please iron at a low temperature using a cloth. We also recommend that you have your garment cleaned at a specialty store.
