Sake bottle (“Gyoku” series) made by glass artist Masao Kozumi. This object is made by using an air-blown glass technique. The work is inspired by an ancient shape and is made from a milky white glass, called Gyoku glass, which is reminiscent of white porcelain and is expressed in a white color. The glassware is formed by blowing into the glass attached to a blowpipe using the air-blowing and mold-blowing techniques. Not many pieces are successfully completed because the thickness of the mouth is made very thin and fragile. This clear, milky-white glass tokuri is perfect for drinking cold sake in summer and hot sake in winter. Seasonal flowers can also be arranged in the vessel to be used as a vase.

【Masao Kozumi】 Masao Kozumi is a glass artist born in Kumamoto in 1979. After graduating from Toyama City Institute of Glass Art, Kozumi starts working with glass in Asahimachi, Toyama. He is currently based in Gifu. His nostalgic looking pale green glasses are much thinner than their appearance. Its sophisticated and serene form matches perfectly with Japanese food.
