The Hooded balmacaan, a variation of the classic A&S Balmacaan coat, features a detachable hood. Its single-layer construction makes it ideal for effortless wear from spring to summer. The two side pockets are slotted pockets that allow the wearer to reach inside pockets or pants pockets while wearing the coat, in addition to their normal function as pockets. It can be worn loosely with a loose fit or over a jacket to keep out the cold. The fabric is A&S's original fabric, a yarn-dyed ultra-high-density plain weave made of 60 count cotton yarn on the warp and 70 denier plant-derived nylon yarn on the weft, with a durable water-repellent finish. A timeless and long-lasting piece.
