A classic Balmacaan coat with a rounded collar, inspired by vintage designs. The houndstooth fabric has an irregular, textured surface created by the differing shrinkage of wool and ramie, giving it a distinctive, expressive look. The side pockets double as slotted openings, allowing access to the inner or trouser pockets even while wearing the coat. A tab on the underside of the collar allows it to be worn upright, and the relaxed fit can be styled loosely or layered over other outerwear for extra warmth. The fulled fabric has a soft, warm texture and a balanced weight that makes it suitable for a wide range of occasions. A mixed-look houndstooth fabric, woven with fine-count worsted double yarns in the warp, and in the weft, the same fine-count worsted double yarns alternated with medium-count single ramie yarns, arranged in a sequence alternating both color and pattern. The fabric uses two colors in the warp and two different colors in the weft. It is lightly milled through a finishing water-flow fulling process, producing an irregular texture from the differential shrinkage of wool and ramie, which gives the fabric a rich, nuanced character.
Caution
*Friction may cause furballs. After wearing, please care for it with a long-fur brush or the like. If a furball forms, do not pull it out, but carefully cut it with scissors, etc.
