A bottle made by Masao Kozumi using the mold-blown and air-blowing glass technique. It can be used as a Sake bottle (Tokkuri) or a vase for seasonal flowers, characterized by the combination of smoothly rounded and angled parts. The pieces are modeled after ancient shapes. They have the iron content in the raw materials used so gives them a unique greenish color. The glass was formed by breathing in and there are not so many pieces completed in order to finish the thickness of the mouth thinly. The cool impression of a bottle is perfect for enjoying a glass of sake. It is wonderful in fluctuation and bubbles in the glass, which enhances the sake. The more you use it, the more you would become attached to it.
【Masao Kozumi】 Masao Kozumi is a glass artist born in Kumamoto in 1979. After graduating from Toyama City Institute of Glass Art, Kozumi starts working with glass in Asahimachi, Toyama. He is currently based in Gifu. His nostalgic looking pale green glasses are much thinner than their appearance. Its sophisticated and serene form matches perfectly with Japanese food.
