This scarf features a variety of animal motifs created by British printmaker Mark Hearld, printed using traditional hand-screen printing techniques from Kyoto. The designs are hand-printed with indigo dye onto a natural-colored base fabric. The material is 100% American Sea Island cotton, woven in a twill weave made entirely from the same ultra-fine, softly twisted single yarns. Sea Island cotton, regarded as one of the finest varieties, offers a texture comparable to cashmere. It can be worn around the neck or used in a variety of other ways. The ARTS & SCIENCE straight logo is printed at the center of the lower edge.

A twill fabric woven entirely from ultra-fine, softly twisted single yarns of 100% American Sea Island cotton. Known as one of the finest cotton varieties in the world, this material offers an extraordinarily refined texture comparable to cashmere. The name “Sea Island cotton” originates from the late 18th century, when the Caribbean barbadense species began to be cultivated in the Sea Islands along the eastern coast of the United States.
Caution
*As this fabric is naturally dyed, some color transfer or staining is unavoidable. If the transferred color is on items that can be washed, it may be partially removed with regular washing. However, please be especially cautious when using it with lighter-colored items.
*The color and appearance of the dyed fabric may vary slightly depending on the season and environment in which it is dyed, and there may be some color changes due to storage conditions and usage over time. However, this is a characteristic of natural dyes and not a result of dyeing techniques. Unlike chemical dyes, natural dyes evolve and mature, so please enjoy the deep and beautiful colors of natural dyes as they age over time.
*Please handle with care as this is a delicate material. There is a risk of tearing if subjected to stress.

*This material is dyed with indigo. Due to the nature of the dye, it may fade when exposed to water or friction. Thank you for your understanding, and please exercise caution when coordinating your outfit.
*Due to the natural dyeing process, dye transfer and staining are inevitable. If the dye is transferred to a washable item, it can be removed to some extent by normal washing, but please be careful when wearing it, especially with light-colored items.
*Unlike synthetic dyes, natural dyes have weaker colorfastness, so wear and abrasion from friction may occur, and the color will fade over time. Please understand that these changes are part of the charm of natural dyeing.
*Due to the characteristics of the material, there is a possibility of color transfer from rain, water, sweat, etc., so please be careful when wearing with white or light-colored items.
