A unique incense that can be rubbed and lit like a match. Both the fragrance and packaging are custom-made original products for Arts & Science formulated with fragrances perfect for each time of day. “Night" is a deep mossy fragrance, in a warm bed of cedar and patchouli, a restful scent that induces a relaxed and peaceful sleep. The box comes with a special mat included to light the incense, making it easy to bring on travels. There is no other lighting equipment required. Also available in a 10-minute aroma (“Ichinichi” – All day) boxed set of three fragrances for morning, noon, and evening.

【hibi】Two traditional industries in Hyogo Prefecture came together to create this brand, which was born from the idea of incense that can be ignited by rubbing it like a match. A company is Kobe Match Co., Ltd. founded in 1929 in Himeji, and the other one is Daihatsu Co., Ltd. which has been making incense sticks for about 80 years based on Awaji Island.
Caution

Make sure that the flame has subsided and the incense has been lit before placing it on the special mat.

*Burning more than one incense stick on the mat at the same time may cause the mat to overheat, which is dangerous. Please be sure to use only one incense stick at a time.
*It is dangerous to try and rub and light a broken and shortened piece of incense, as your fingers may be burned by the heat. Please dispose the broken head, and use a lighter or match to ignite the remaining part of the incense.
*There is no expiration date, however it is recommended to use up the product within 3 years of keeping it in the package.
*Avoid storing in high temperature and humidity to prevent deterioration of the fragrance and ignition performance.
*Due to the characteristics of the paper used for the matchbox-like box inside, there may be starch-like debris or lint material mixed in with the pulp. Please kindly understand that this is not a defect.
*If you find the incense difficult to ignite, please hold the incense horizontally or point the powder head slightly downwards until the body of the incense is lit. The incense may become difficult to ignite due to humidity or exposure to moisture. We recommend a dry environment.
