Made from A&S’s signature Special cotton bafu cloth, it showcases a range of animal patterns designed by British printmaker Mark Hearld and printed using Kyoto's traditional indigo dyeing technique. The tote is reinforced with a canvas lining for stability and features an interior pocket.

The fabric, printed with designs by British printmaker Mark Hearld, is made from A&S’s signature Special cotton bafu cloth and dyed using Kyoto’s indigo dyeing technique. It is woven from premium Suvin Gold extra-long staple cotton from India on old-fashioned shuttle looms at a high density. The term "bafu cloth" refers to a type of fabric once used under horse saddles, and this version is a contemporary adaptation of that tradition. This unique texture is the result of careful attention to the choice of material, weaving, and finishing processes.
Caution
*As this fabric is naturally dyed, some color transfer or staining is unavoidable. If the transferred color is on items that can be washed, it may be partially removed with regular washing. However, please be especially cautious when using it with lighter-colored items.
*The color and appearance of the dyed fabric may vary slightly depending on the season and environment in which it is dyed, and there may be some color changes due to storage conditions and usage over time. However, this is a characteristic of natural dyes and not a result of dyeing techniques. Unlike chemical dyes, natural dyes evolve and mature, so please enjoy the deep and beautiful colors of natural dyes as they age over time.
*Please handle with care as this is a delicate material. There is a risk of tearing if subjected to stress.
*Due to the use of natural dyes and dyeing methods, there may be slight color variations and irregularities in each piece. Thank you for your understanding.
*This material is dyed with indigo. Due to the nature of the dye, it may fade when exposed to water or friction. Thank you for your understanding, and please exercise caution when coordinating your outfit.
*Due to the natural dyeing process, dye transfer and staining are inevitable. If the dye is transferred to a washable item, it can be removed to some extent by normal washing, but please be careful when wearing it, especially with light-colored items.
*Unlike synthetic dyes, natural dyes have weaker colorfastness, so wear and abrasion from friction may occur, and the color will fade over time. Please understand that these changes are part of the charm of natural dyeing.
*Due to the characteristics of the material, there is a possibility of color transfer from rain, water, sweat, etc., so please be careful when wearing with white or light-colored items.
*Indigo-dyed products may fade and discolor when exposed to fluorescent lights or sunlight for extended periods. Therefore, when storing them, keep them in a dark place, and if storing for an extended period, remember to wash them regularly and air dry them in the shade.

*Please refrain from using bleach as natural dyes may fade or transfer color.
*Please avoid using detergents with fluorescent agents or bleach, as they may cause uneven coloration.
*When drying, please hang in a well-ventilated area in the shade.
*When washing, please wash separately with a neutral detergent, and avoid dry cleaning.
*Although washing machine use is possible, we recommend hand washing to preserve the color for a longer period
*Please avoid tumbler drying.
